Recovered bulk containers

Calix is committed to incorporating circular economy models into every aspect of our operations. To reduce our operational waste, we have taken steps to repurpose broken intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) that would otherwise have ended up as landfill. At our Bacchus Marsh site, we have recovered and refitted 17 IBCs and recirculated them into our fleet. 10 additional IBCs that could not be refitted have been repurposed into dog kennels, shower blocks and planter boxes.

At our Nerang site, we donated IBCs to Gold Coast Kokoda Challenge event, raising money for the Kokoda Youth Foundation.

Repurposing offers a sustainable solution to reducing landfill waste. In giving new life to otherwise discarded items, we conserve resources and minimise our environmental impact.
