Sustainable lithium demonstration plant passes Financial Investment Decision
A demonstration plant that aims to use Calix’s electric calcination technology to produce a low-carbon and low-waste lithium salt has passed its Financial Investment Decision. The demonstration plant is being developed in a joint venture with Pilbara Minerals.
Early results propel low emissions iron and steel development
Pilot-scale testing shows that Calix’s ZESTY technology can produce a H-DRI product approaching commercial grade, with excellent metallisation achieved for multiple ores.

US delegation hosted by the Great Plains Institute visit Leilac-1
A US delegation of 21 leaders from business, government and NGOs – organised by the Great Plains Institute – visited our Leilac-1 pilot plant to discuss the technology and policy solutions driving the decarbonisation of cement.
Expanding our US presence
Calix’s Water business continues to expand its presence in the US water and wastewater treatment market, with new customers and new hydration plants in new regions.
Decarbonising shipping: Developing sustainable fuels and CO2 capture solutions
Decarbonising shipping is essential for the clean transport of the low-carbon minerals, fuels and exports of the future. Shipborne carbon capture and synthetic sustainable transport fuels offer two potential solutions.
New lab facilities open at Bacchus Marsh
A new multi-purpose laboratory provides a significant increase to the company’s research and development capabilities and capacity, helping to speed up technology and project development.
R&D leadership appointments
