The Calix electric calciner at PLS’ Pilgangoora Operation has successfully completed full heat cycles, confirming performance to design specification across power draw and heating range.
Commissioning of the lithium Mid-Stream Demonstration Plant is progressing to schedule, with first spodumene calcination and lithium phosphate production expected in the September quarter of 2026.
The plant was officially opened on 5 June 2026 by Western Australia Premier Hon. Roger Cook MLA and then ARENA Chair Justin Punch, marking an important step in the development of a potential new pathway for more sustainable lithium processing.
Under the terms of the Mid-Stream Project restructure executed on 20 April 2026, Calix has also received the second and final A$5.7m cash payment from PLS Group Limited.
