    2005

    Calix is founded.

  2. Pilot

    2007

    First pilot calciner facility is built to test what was possible.

  3. First Plant

    2011

    First continuous calciner plant CFC 850 at Bacchus Marsh.

  4. Acquisition

    2012

    Acquisition of Myrtle Springs mining tenements.

    Awarded UK Government’s DECC grant to develop the Endex technology.

  5. World’s First

    2013

    World’s first 30kTpa commercial CFC demonstrator.

    First plant in South East Asia established.

  6. Awards

    2014

    First Magnesium Hydroxide Liquid (MHL) manufacturing facilities established in both VIC and QLD.

    Awarded a Commercialisation Australia grant helps accelerating the roll-out of our proprietary MHL slurrying technology via transportable batching plants.

    Establishment of a JV and MHL facility in the Philippines.

    Calix wins the Water Category Awards at the 2014 Australian Technologies Competition.

    2015

    ABA100 Winner for Best Technology Product in The Australian Business Awards 2015.

    Calix wins Agritech Award and is nominated Australia’s best emerging tech company of the year at the annual Australian Technologies Competition.

  8. Major Funding

    2016

    Awarded an Accelerating Commercialisation Australia grant to support BOOSTER-Mag commercialisation for agriculture.

    LEILAC consortium secures €12 Million EU Horizon 2020 Funding to demonstrate our CFC technology to reduce carbon emissions from cement and lime industries.

  9. Advanced Battery Project Wins

    2017

    Calix part of EU H2020 SOCRATCES Project – winning 5m Euros for solar thermo chemical storage pilot project.

    Calix wins $0.8m in Advanced Manufacturing Growth Fund for advanced battery materials project.

  10. IPO

    2018

    On 20 July 2018, Calix successfully completed its initial public offering (IPO) and its shares commenced trading on the Australian Stock Exchange.

    Calix lists on the ASX, raising A$8m to accelerate growth.

    Calix LEILAC Project begins construction at HeidelbergCement factory in Lixhe, Belgium.

  11. Significant Turning Point

    2019

    Calix enters 10-year distribution agreement with Afepasa to supply bioactive magnesium hydroxide for agriculture.

    Calix acquires Inland Environmental Resources, a Magnesium Hydroxide Liquid (MHL) company based in the US.

    Awarded EUR16m by the European Commission for LEILAC 2, a commercial scale up of Calix CO2 capture technology.

    Calix joins Future Battery Industries FBI-CRC, the largest and most ambitious battery development program in Australia.
