With cement and lime one of our largest sources of industrial emissions, and most of those emissions an unavoidable result of the chemical process, “the use of carbon capture…is pretty much the only realistic path to cement decarbonisation”.
Watch Dr Simon Clark’s video on why carbon capture, use and storage is urgently needed for the decarbonisation of the construction industry, and his feature on Leilac’s efficient and scalable solution for cement and lime.
Simon James Clark is a British videomaker and science communicator from Bristol. He finished his PhD in theoretical atmospheric physics at the University of Exeter, researching dynamical stratosphere-troposphere coupling over the Arctic with Prof. Mark Baldwin. Prior to this he studied physics at St Peter’s College, University of Oxford, obtaining his masters degree and specialising in theoretical and atmospheric physics.
